In the beginning of August 2006 Kiril Korabel'nikov has reached height of 4700 meters, having risen under kite up to Pastukhov Rocks on Mt.Elbrus. That exceeds the previous world record established this summer on Mt.Mont Blanc on July, 10 by French rider Lorence Benamont. Lorence has reached only heights 4400m above sea level, but after hard night in hut near De Valot refuge was compelled to recede due to a lack of wind and symptoms of altitude sickness. By the report, Lorents expedition was not good prepared and organized in the urgent order. Russian project has been planned since April and was carefully prepared.
Kirill was helped by huge mountaineer experience and a due degree of acclimatization before attempt of an ascention. With weather has frankly carried, but extraordinary hot summer did not promote an ideal condition of a snow cover. At an ascention were used snowkites AEROS Gyro II and AirEvolution Hybrid Ultra Core '06.
This expedition will form a basis for storm of top by summer of the next year. We invite sponsors and information partners. Contact for communication: Lavrent'ev Sergey (sergey.lavrentiev[@]gmail.com).
