Hi, I have a question about the Cabrinha Empire snowboard. The is specially made for snowkiting, does any body know if the board can be used as a normal freeride snowboard. I want to buy this board but i like to use it for snowkiting and for freeriding. Thanks Patrick |

Hey Patrick, I don't have a Cabrinha Empire, nor have I ridden one. Sometimes snowkite specific boards have two different sidecut radii for the heel-edge and toe-edge... This is makes it easier to ride a straight line on your heel-edge (where we spend most of our time while snowkiting), but then turn more aggressively on the toe-edge. I haven't tried it, but the assymetrical sidecut radii may make for some funky downhill riding... But, again, I haven't tried it. I know someone with an Empire, let me get in touch with him and ask what he thinks. I use a downhill board for both snowkiting and 'gravityboarding'. Does anyone else own an Empire? -Eric |
