Well first off I'm a college student at UND and I'm hoping I can make something out of this windy, cold, shitty weather. I'm 6ft 170 lbs

Is there anyone around the Grand Forks North Dakota area that could show me a thing or two about kiting? I want to buy one but I'm not sure what would be the best fit for me and what would last the longest. I've heard of getting a 3meter training kite but that seems lame after I learn how to fly it.

If anyone's up for giving me some tips and taking me out sometime that'd be awesome!

This weather is awsome! The snow will only get deeper too.

Come to the Outdoor Adventure Ski & Bike Shop for free snowkite clinics on Sunday, Jan. 11th & 26th at 2 PM. We do a little in-store informational session, then go and practice kite-handeling skills afterwards. It's on 17th Ave. & Columbia St.

If you can't wait for that, go ask Pat or Terry about renting a trainer kite (so you don't have to buy it) at the Ski & Bike Shop. They're offering a special for a 5M Ozone Flow + Harness... That's what I recommend for the first kite purchase after you've practiced with the trainer.

See you on the snow!
